3 Common Vaping Problems and How to Deal With Them
Just like any other activity, you’re bound to experience some problems while vaping. The good news is that most of these issues can be fixed easily. Sometimes, it may be due to your device, or it may be your fault. Whatever the case, we’ve compiled this simple guide to allow you to deal with some of the most common vaping-related issues.
1. Burnt Taste
If you start getting a weird burnt taste after vaping for some time, the chances are that the e-liquid in your tank is done, the wattage you are vaping is too high, or the lifespan of your coil has elapsed. The first step is to check your e-liquid level. Most devices come with a window where you can see the exact level of e-liquid left in your tank. If you have enough e-juice, then check your wattage level. Sometimes, vaping at a high wattage can burn your coil and create a burnt taste. If this is the case or if you suspect that the lifespan of your coil is up, check your coil and wicking material. If you notice any buildup and discoloration, then use a new coil.
2. Atomizer Short or No Atomizer Notification
If you see “Atomizer Short” or “No Atomizer” on the screen of your device, it basically means that there is a short-circuit with your coil. In other words, the coil wasn’t fixed properly and is touching a part of your device that it shouldn’t. Sometimes, atomizer short is caused by a broken coil, but that is rare. Once you see the atomizer short notification on your screen, you need to check your coil. If it looks okay, then try to refix it. Otherwise, if it is damaged, replace it. This issue may also be caused by a damaged 510 pin. There are many helpful posts and videos online that will teach you how to fix atomizer short and no atomizer issues.
3. No Vapor Produced When You Take a Puff
If you take a puff from your vaping device and you do not get any vapor, it can be frustrating – especially if you are a newbie and you haven’t quite figured out how your device works. Thankfully, it is easy to solve this issue. You must first check if you have any e-liquid left in your tank. If there is no e-juice to vaporize, you will not get any vapor. If you have e-liquid in your tank, check to ensure that your battery is on. Another reason why you may not get any vapor when you take a puff is that the connection between your battery and tank is problematic. Therefore, you need to check the connection. Most devices are powered on/off by pressing the firing button five times quickly. For devices that are draw-activated, there is usually an LED button which indicates that the device is on. If you do not find any indication that the battery is working, try charging it. If that doesn’t work, you may need to replace your battery.
