SMOK GX350 Kit Review
The SMOK GX350 kit is 85×44 x 28.4mm with a power range of 220W Max. 0.1Ω-3Ω (VW) / 0.06Ω-2Ω (TC) Resistance range and a temperature range of 200-600° F / 100°-350° C.
Let’s talk about price; about how ridiculously cheap the SMOK Alien Kit is. Prices for the SMOK GX50 range from $45–70. The complete Kit on the other hand including the TFV8 Baby Beast tank adds an additional $15-25 to the price. I found a great vaping deal online which cost around $55.
Similarly The SMOK GX50 box mod is almost the same in size, shape, even power output to others models like the Sigelei 213 or the P4u iPV 6/6x mods. They do have a difference in regulating chips, cosmetic designs, menu navigation and display screens, yet all three are similar in size.
The SMOK Alien box mod uses a long firing lever on the side that is the shape of the mod case and triggered by pressing the top of the lever.
Performance wise SMOK gx350 kit is up to the standards vapers have come to expect from the current generation. Temperature control is really accurate and it works well with the fine-tuning TCR adjustability which can handle all common TC wire types (nickel, titanium, and stainless steel). Menu Navigation of the system is straightforward and so simple that even someone other than a geek, nerd or weirdo can operate it easily.
Regarding the output power, it’s quite high at 200+ watts. The majority of the vaping community typically don’t go to that extent. SMOK GX50 box mod surpasses the ratings among the current generation. What they do is make good products for everyone.
Vaping performance is great. Reliability and durability issues in long-term look good. As of now, current chip technology and manufacturing standards are higher than they were 2 years ago, making for superior performance.
The Most Powerful Mod
The SMOK GX350 Kit is not for the weak but you don’t have to go up to 350W to experience it capacity.
I managed to use it for a week without recharging the battery; sampling three different e-liquid lines at around 30-40w.
When you open the box you will find the mod itself, the TFV8 Cloud Beast tank installed with V8-T8 coil, spare V8-Q4 coil, a micro USB upgrade cable, a beefy manual and some spare gaskets and O-Rings.
High Drain 18650 Batteries
I recommend getting good quality high drain cells from popular manufacturers such as Sony, LG or Samsung. An external charger may be needed for you as the micro-USB port on the mod is only for firmware upgrade purpose. Menu interface and settings are pretty similar with Alien, same crystal OLED display.
In terms of performance the SMOK GX350 Kit is a monster of a vape. We didn’t go higher than 160W as we’re not fans of super warm vapor but we’re sure it can be used at full capacity with tanks like the TFV12 Cloud Beast King. Between 40 – 75W it works like a charm, with thick flavorful clouds and battery life for days. I love the wide range of coils offered by SMOK’s and they last for a very long time. SMOK’s don’t leak and they don’t have problems with high VG juices. The device uses a top fill mechanism which makes it easy to use. With a total capacity of 5.5ml you won’t be looking for your e-juice bottle that often.
The fire bar is more ergonomically friendly for vaping but can also be more prone to being activated when carried in a pocket or carrying it in your hand. There are two ways to lock the device. This is very important especially for mods that have a fire bar like Smok mods do. To lock the device you can slick the fire bar five times, and do the same to re-activate. Or you can push the up and down buttons at the same time and achieve the same thing.
